GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS
Volumetric divisor: (Length*Breadth*Height) in cm / 5000 (Air shipments)
Chargeable weight is calculated based on the higher side of actual weight or volume weight per box.
Declared value for carriage – Shipment can be insured with additional surcharges
Customs clearance* & Brokerage charges – Due to few countries customs regulations & restrictions carrier will not be authorized to clear the package at that cases consignee have to arrange customs broker self to clear the packages and absorb those charges.
Duties & Taxes – Customs duties are collected from the receiver in most of the cases and if it needs to be billed back same can be billed back subjected to countries and carrier approvals.
Customs may levy customs duties and/or import VAT or any relevant duties and taxes in arrears, as well as fines, penalties and/or late payment interest on carrier when inaccurate or incomplete clearing information and/or documentation - such as invoices, (customs)values, currencies or commodity codes - has been provided in relation to Shipments. If the inaccurate or incomplete information/documentation was provided to carriers by, on behalf of, on the instruction of or under the responsibility of the Sender or Recipient, the Sender, Recipient and - if applicable - the responsible third party will be jointly and severally liable towards carrier for any such amounts. Carrier shall be entitled to charge an administrative fee for Packages rejected and for the costs of returning goods, where applicable, to the Sender.
Address correction – If a recipient’s address on an Air Bill, Air Waybill or shipping label is incomplete or incorrect, we may attempt to find the correct address and complete delivery and we will assess a surcharge.
Extended Area Service - Shipments (subject to service availability) delivered to or picked up from remote and less-accessible locations are assessed an Out-of-Delivery Area or Out-of-Pick-up-Area surcharge.
Packaging – Packaging facility for cargo available for certain locations with surcharges.
Warehousing – Storage facility available in Dubai for cargo at additional surcharges.
PROHIBITED GOODS
The following commodities are not acceptable for transport under any circumstances.
- Animals
- Antiques (breakable and/or fragile)
- Asbestos
- Bullion
- Currency
- Firearms, parts thereof and ammunition
- Furs
- Hazardous or combustible materials (as defined in IATA Regulations)
- Human remains, including ashes
- Jewelry, precious metals and stones
- Narcotics (illegal)
- Gambling devices
- Ivory
- Plant products
- Plants
- Pornography
- Property, the carriage of which is prohibited by any law, regulation or statute of any federal, state or local government of any country to or through which the shipment may be carried.
Additional restrictions may apply depending upon destination and service and service option used and various regulatory and customs clearances may be required for certain commodities, therefore extending the transit time and reserves the right to reject packages due to security concerns & safety.
